Prisma Electronics participated in the second day of the Greek Space Tech Forum 2026, contributing to the discussion on the role of space technologies in climate resilience, civil protection, and maritime applications.
During the panel “Space Applications for Climate, Civil Protection & Maritime Resilience”, the company’s Managing Director, Christos Giordamlis, highlighted how space technologies are strengthening the maritime sector. Drawing on Prisma Electronics’ experience with the MICE-1 nanosatellite and the LAROS platform, he demonstrated how satellite communications and space-based data enhance connectivity, operational efficiency, and the safe management of vessels, even in remote maritime areas.
A highlight of the Forum was the reference made by Deputy Minister of Development for Research and Innovation, Stavros Kalafatis, who underscored the role of established Greek industries, such as Prisma Electronics with the MICE-1 nanosatellite, alongside innovative scale-ups, in shaping a strong and competitive Greek space ecosystem.
